Kenneth John Boucher Smith

After the crash, Smith’s remains were buried by the Germans in Colbitz Cemetery.  On September 16, 1948, his remains were disinterred and he was reburied the following day in the British Cemetery, Berlin, Plot 2, Row L, #21, next to crewmate Eric Robinson.  The engraving reads “Into Thy hands, O Lord, I come, Earth’s struggle is o’er, The battle is won”

Smith is also memorialized at the International Bomber Command Centre in Lincoln, UK, phase 1, panel 99.
